When you stay at Gemini Court Holiday Apartments, Burleigh Heads, you’re in for a treat if you love the markets. On both Saturday and Sunday, depending on which weekend of the month, Burleigh and neighbouring suburb Miami, host an array of wonderful markets.
The Saturday Farmers Markets, Burleigh Heads
From 7am to 12 noon, ‘rain, hail or shine’, the wonderful Farmers Markets can be found in the grounds of Burleigh Heads State Primary School, only a short walk from Gemini Court. Gather gourmet delights to share on the ocean-view balcony of your Burleigh Heads accommodation, or simply hang-out, listen to the music and feast on delicious global cuisine from the food trucks. The markets include fresh food and vegetables, an organic area, meat, fish, flowers, art, craft, antiques and collectables.
The Village Markets
On the first and third Sunday of the month, from 8am – 1pm and also in the grounds of Burleigh Heads Primary School, hip locals gather for their fashion-fix at The Village Markets. Touted as one of the best fashion markets in Queensland, The Village Markets is a wonderful mix of emerging designers, vintage clothes and accessories, homewares and art stalls with music and gourmet eats thrown in.
Burleigh Art & Craft Markets
Set on the Burleigh foreshore, from 8am – 2:30pm on the last Sunday of the month, nothing says ‘Gold Coast holiday’ more than a wander around the local art and craft markets. A stroll from Gemini Court Holiday Apartments, there is something here for everyone. Handmade jewellery and clothes, crafted homewares, natural skin care, toys, fresh produce and, of course, a delicious sausage sizzle!
Miami Marketta
Every second Friday, the Miami Marketta is a pulsing hub of families, super cool dudes, arty hipsters and groups of friends all hanging out and having fun. A creative collective where Gold Coasters come to eat, drink, laugh, listen to great music and wander local designers art and fashion stalls, the Marketta is an evening different to all others and not to be missed. The Marketta is a short drive or taxi ride from your Burleigh Heads accommodation at Gemini Court, so drop by reception if you are interested in visiting this wonderful venue and we’ll provide you with all the information you need to get there.
