If you’re visiting Burleigh over New Years, you won’t want to miss the fireworks displays. You could wander down to Burleigh Beach and watch the Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise fireworks from the coastline, however if you really want to get into the atmosphere and watch them up close here are your Firework Options: (Broadbeach and Currumbin Creek will be your closest options if you’re staying in Burleigh)

While Burleigh is best known for its beaches, it’s also well known for it’s shopping precinct on James Street. With dozens of boutiques, restaurants and quirky shops – you could spend a day just exploring the hidden alleys. Some favourites to check out:

2017 Burleigh Pro
The 2017 Burleigh Pro is a world famous surfing event. If you’re on the Gold Coast between the 26th-29th of January, it’s definitely worth checking out. Burleigh Heads is a natural amphitheatre and the perfect place to watch the competition as the best surfers from around the world battle it out.
