It’s that time of year on the life saving calendar when over 10,000 of our best competitors flood to the Gold Coast for ‘The Aussies’.
Due to tragic events in previous years, the competition in 2013 will be held in Kirra and Tugun, yet a dearth of viable accommodation in both suburbs has seen many competitors enjoying a stay at beachfront, Gemini Court Burleigh Heads accommodation.
First held in 1915 in Bondi, The Australian Surf Life Saving Championships, affectionately known as ‘The Aussies’, are now a major Gold Coast event every year.
More than 10,000 competitors and club members from all over Australia compete for the glory and those much-valued gold medals.
Now hosted at Kirra and Tugun, Burleigh Heads accommodation at Gemini Court Holiday Apartments provides a great base to compete during the day and relax on your ocean-view balcony every evening.
Plus, Gemini Court Holiday Apartments, over-looking Burleigh beach, are close to everything beautiful Burleigh has to offer: great food, great pubs, great shopping, great walks, the list goes on.
